Shreyas Iyer
, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), expressed his admiration for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is the Kolkata-based franchise's co-owner.
Speaking to Star Sports' "Knight Club" segment, Iyer shared his awe for Khan's charisma and energy.
"When he walks, he has got that aura. He has got that personality, and he is filled with energy. When he comes into the room, you just want to look at him and listen to what he says.
And that's what happens. Bohot hi alag feeling hota hai unke saath (it's a different kind of feeling with him)," said Iyer, emphasizing SRK's captivating presence.
Acknowledging his long-standing fandom for Khan, Iyer praised not just the actor's movies and acting skills, but also his oratory prowess.
"I have been a fan of Shah Rukh Khan since my childhood. I love his movies, acting, and also his orating skills. It's top-notch. He is a phenomenal personality, and I love him from the bottom of my heart," added the KKR skipper.
Currently, KKR stand second on the points table in the Indian Premier League 2024, trailing behind Rajasthan Royals by four points. Though, the Royals have played two more games than the Knight Riders.

Despite the defeat to Chennai Super Kings in their last IPL match, Iyer's side, under the mentorship of

, has been in exceptional form, winning three out of four matches since the start of the 17th IPL edition.
On Sunday, KKR will host Lucknow Super Giants in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
