Boat capsizes in Queens; 4 people rescued: FDNY

COLLEGE POINT, Queens (PIX11) – Four people were rescued after their boat capsized in the East River in Queens Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The incident happened in the water near Hermon A. MacNeil Park in College Point around 1:40 p.m., according to the FDNY.

The NYPD Harbor Unit helped rescue the people in the water, FDNY officials said. The four people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
