Sage’s senior leadership team welcomed John with open arms, praising his track record of successfully reaching consumers. John will reportedly focus on leading borrower retention efforts.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bijoy John as the new Senior VP of Marketing at Sage Home Loans Corporation,” Sage Home Loans’ CEO Mike Malloy said in an email. “With a proven track record of delivering scalable D2C solutions and impactful client retention programs in the mortgage industry, Bijoy’s expertise will be invaluable in driving our marketing initiatives forward.”

“We look forward to the positive impact Bijoy will bring to our team and the industry as we enhance our marketing strategies to better serve clients,” he added.

These marketing strategies focus on the client’s experience more than anything else. Malloy said Sage wants to build a client experience that aligns with the company’s core value of keeping mortgage lending simple. As the lender’s new head of marketing, John can bring this vision to life.

John brings more than eight years of experience to his new role. The veteran mortgage marketer has worked for companies like Freedom Mortgage, Newrez and Rate, his most recent company. John also achieved recognition as a 2022 HousingWire Marketing Leader during his time at Newrez.

Sage Homes Loans is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The lender arrived on scene in 2020 and was later acquired by digital media company Red Ventures. Malloy joined the company in August 2024 following roles at companies like Rocket Mortgage, Quicken Loans and Bank of America.
