The Sub Junior Boys team from Bihar continued their dominant performance by overpowering Odisha with a resounding 35-0 victory in a one-sided affair. Following suit, the girls' team showcased their prowess by defeating Odisha 5-0.

This triumphant feat marks a treble for the state of Bihar, with both the boys and girls emerging victorious over two days of intense competition.

, expressed his congratulations, stating, "Congratulations to the boys and girls from Bihar for yet again winning a Gold at the National Sub-Junior Championships. The 2024 Sub-Junior National Championships saw a total of 25 states competing at the highest level here at IIT Gandhinagar."
He further acknowledged the excellent hosting by IIT Gandhinagar, emphasizing the crucial role of grassroots competitions in nurturing future talent. "Nothing makes Rugby India happier than to see children enjoying the game of Rugby. This is where it all starts; this is where all our senior national players have started, and we hope that this is just the beginning for these U14 players, and they go from strength to strength, making the country proud," Mr. Bose added.

In the semi-finals, the girls' team from Bihar defeated Maharashtra with a score of 25-0, while the boys' team secured their place in the finals by beating Rajasthan 5-0. The other semi-final matchups witnessed closely contested battles, with Odisha boys triumphing over Kerala 5-0, and Odisha girls securing their spot in the finals by defeating Rajasthan with a score of 5-0.
In the Boys category, Rajasthan secured the 3rd position by defeating Kerala 15-0, while in the Girls category, Maharashtra claimed the 3rd position by beating Rajasthan 5-0 in the 3rd/4th place match.

The tournament, organized by the Indian Rugby Football Union (Rugby India) in collaboration with the Rugby Football Association of Gujarat Rugby, spanned two days, featuring a total participation of 24 teams in the U14 Girls category and 25 teams in the U14 Boys category.
