Dalljiet Kaur
, who got married to
Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel
in March last year and has shifted her base to the foreign land. The actress was spotted at Mumbai airport today as she returned to India for the promotion of her upcoming project. Dressed in a red skirt and black top, the actress looked super fit and stylish. Dalljiet has shifted her base to Kenya but that doesn't stop her from following her passion for acting.
This is not the first time Dalljiet is travelling to India after marriage. She is travelling to India for the second time. Last year in July, the actress came to India with her son Jaydon. It was a short trip. During her last trip, she had met her close industry friends like Shweta Tiwari, Additie Malik, and Simple Kaul. She called her trip to India as 'Visiting her Maayka'
Dalljiet is working on setting up her production house in Kenya and exploring new ideas. She plans to start shooting projects under her banner as a producer in Kenya.
Dalljiet and Nikhil got married in Mumbai in an intimate wedding ceremony last year. The Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paayega actress while talking to us in an interview had shared how challenging or interesting it has been to set up a new life in Kenya, "It’s been interesting. I didn’t know how it's going to be or what I should expect. I only knew that I’d found this man who I really love. I was and I’m really excited to live my whole life with him and I wanted to take one day as it comes. But definitely, when I came to my new house, leaving my work, and living a comfortable life (like my own people), it was initially very difficult. I started feeling homesick very soon. I started missing my mom, and dad more than anyone else," she shared back then.
She had also spoken about how her husband Nikhil (Nick) made her feel comfortable in the new space, "Very soon. With Nick helping me in every phase, introduced me to an amazing set of people, and told me that I’m not away from my career. So, I slowly started to find a balance. India is very different and here the whole culture is different but it is beautiful to explore it with Nick. I’m learning from him, his culture, his ways and he’s learning from me. Like our daughter, she keeps telling me that I’m more Indian than I ever was," she concluded.
