solo concert
! On July 15, THEBLACKLABEL revealed the poster for his 2024 tour, "
THE LIGHT YEAR
," set to kick off in Seoul. The poster, showcasing Taeyang's intense gaze, has already generated buzz among fans eager to see him perform live.
This will be Taeyang’s first solo concert since 2017, and anticipation is high for his dynamic performances and hit songs.
The Seoul concert will be the starting point for an
Asia tour
, adding to the excitement for international fans.
Taeyang recently released his second EP, "Down to Earth," featuring popular tracks like “VIBE,” “Shoong!,” and “Seed.” He also appeared as the main producer on Mnet’s “I-LAND 2,” which wrapped up in July, where he was praised for his insightful feedback.
The "THE LIGHT YEAR" concert will be held at the Olympic Hall in Seoul on August 31 at 6 p.m. KST and September 1 at 5 p.m. KST. A special FAN and SOUND CHECK EXPERIENCE package will be available, offering fans exclusive access to the sound check, a photo opportunity, and a Q&A session. Tickets will go on sale on Interpark at 12 p.m. KST on July 17.
Taeyang, a prominent South Korean singer, first rose to fame as a member of the popular boy band BIGBANG, which debuted in 2006. He ventured into a solo career in 2008 with his critically acclaimed EP, Hot, which won Best R&B & Soul Album at the 6th Korean Music Awards. His debut full-length album, Solar (2010), topped the Gaon Album Chart, solidifying his status as a solo artist.
Taeyang’s second studio album, Rise (2014), achieved significant success, reaching number 112 on the US Billboard 200 and topping the Billboard K-pop Hot 100 with its lead single “Eyes, Nose, Lips.” The song became one of South Korea’s biggest hits of 2014, earning Song of the Year awards from multiple music awards. His third album, White Night (2017), also made waves, debuting at number one on Billboard's World Digital Albums chart and holding the top spot for two weeks.
