The teaser of Bhumi Pednekar’s next film, ‘Bhakshak’ is out. Based on chilling true incidents, it will have Pednekar as an investigative journalist who is looking into a case of sexual assaults at a child shelter home. Directed by Pulkit, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles and will be releasing directly on Netflix.

‘BHAKSHAK’ TEASER OUT

The teaser of ‘Bhakshak’ is now out. The chilling film, which is about multiple cases of sexual assault at a child shelter home, is based on true incidents. Bhumi Pednekar plays Vaishali Singh, an investigative journalist, who embarks on the mission to uncover the truth behind the reports, even though it is her life that gets on the line.

Without delving much, the teaser shows Aditya Srivastava as a corrupt bigshot who is behind the assaults, Sanjay Misra as the cameraman and Sai Tamhankar as a police officer.

DIRECTOR PULKIT ON ‘BHAKSHAK’

Opening up about the project, director Pulkit said in a statement, “Our aim was to shed light on the harsh realities of society and spark conversations that lead to meaningful change. I'm looking forward to more people joining this important dialogue.”

Gaurav Verma, producer at Red Chillies Entertainment, said, “We believe in storytelling that not only entertains, but also enlightens. This film is a testament to our commitment to narratives that provoke thought and inspire societal reflections.”

This film will mark Red Chillies Entertainment’s comeback into the digital space after the 2022 film, ‘Darlings’. ‘Bhakshak’ will be streaming on Netflix from February 9, 2024..
