A 21-year-old woman was mowed down by a bus in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening. The woman was riding pillion with her husband and toddler when the accident occurred.

Seema, along with her 18-month-old child and her husband were travelling on the left side of the road when a state-run bus abruptly swerved and collided with their two-wheeler.

The impact caused Seema to fall and come under the rear wheels of the bus, leading to her immediate death.

The accident took place on the city's Madiwala flyover.

The Bangalore traffic police have acknowledged the severity of the situation, stating, "This was negligence on the part of the bus driver. We have registered a case against him."
