Residents of Sobha Arena Apartment in Bengaluru are facing a severe water crisis, as highlighted by a video that has recently surfaced on X. The clip captured by Dhananjaya Padmanabhachar shows brown, muddy water gushing out of a tap into a pan than the clear water expected. This alarming situation has garnered significant attention online.

The poor quality of water is not an isolated issue in Bengaluru; however, the extent of the problem has now reached residential complexes, indicating a worsening situation. In his social media post, Dhananjaya urgently tagged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar, and BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath, pleading for immediate action. He implored the authorities to provide Cauvery water to the Judicial Layout at Thalagattapura on Kanakapura Main Road, where the apartment is located.

"Dear @CMofKarnataka, @DKShivakumar, @BBMPCOMM, Please see the quality of water we are getting in Sobha Arena Apartment for Drinking. Please give us Cauvery Water at Judicial Layout, Thalagattapura, Kanakapura Main Road," Dhananjaya appealed in his post.

Take a look at the video:

While some social media users suggested that the muddiness could be due to recent tank cleaning activities, Dhananjaya countered this by sharing additional images of other residents, confirming that the issue was widespread and not a one-off incident.

The Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has previously acknowledged such problems, attributing them to new pipeline commissions or maintenance work.

Here’s how people reacted to it:
