A man was dragged on a car bonnet for 400 metres in Bengaluru before locals came to his rescue. The incident took place near Maramma Temple Circle in Malleswaram on January 15.

At around 8:50 pm, a car collided with a cab, resulting in a heated altercation between the drivers, identified as Ashwath and Muneer.

As the argument escalated, Muneer seemingly attempted to flee from the spot and accelerated his vehicle. In an attempt to prevent Muneer from escaping, Ashwath climbed onto the bonnet of the car. Muneer, however, continued driving, dragging Ashwath for an alarming distance of approximately 400 meters.

The locals saw the scene and intervened in the matter. Muneer, reacting to the pressure from the onlookers, abruptly slammed the brakes, causing Ashwath to be thrown off the bonnet.

A video of the incident shows a few men running after the vehicle dragging the man.

The traffic police did not register a case due to a lack of complaints from either party involved. However, the law and order police promptly took action, registering a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) against Muneer for his alleged assault on Ashwath.
