Beloved Brooklyn Crossing Guard honored on 90th birthday for decades of service

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Imagine being 90 years old and still coming to work-- every school day and dealing with kids and morning traffic.

That's what one crossing guard in Brooklyn has been doing for over 45 years.

The NYPD honored Maggie Poston for her service on her 90th birthday Monday morning.

Chief of Patrol John Chell presented her with a bouquet of flowers, and of course, he found her at her post, doing her job-- just like any other day. Poston said that's the way she approaches her work.
