Belabai locals say floods ‘an annual affair’

, Vasco, faced the brunt of heavy rain due to improper planning of stormwater. They call it as an ‘annual affair’, alleging negligence on part of municipal and other authorities concerned.
The roads and houses at Belabai were submerged due to the incessant rains which lashed continuously for the last couple of days.
“It is a sheer negligence on part of municipal and government agencies, who despite knowing the fact that the houses at Belabai submerge on the onset of monsoon and the situation continuous till the end of monsoon,” said a female resident.

said that “Preventive measures have been taken by

to avoid flooding of houses in Belabai.”
