The exam conducting body, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the schedule for the 19th Bar Council of India Qualifying Examination on the official website. Students who are about to appear for the Bar Council of India exam are advised to check the detailed schedule to plan their preparation strategy accordingly.
As per the schedule released on the official website, the examination will be held from December 18 to 23, 2023 and there will be 6 papers for over 6 days in a single shift between 11 am to 2 pm. The exam will be conducted on the premises of the Bar Council of India at 21, Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area, New Delhi - 110002.

OFFICIAL NOTICE
"For candidates who have appeared in the examination previously and have one or two or more subject papers to clear, this examination is giving an opportunity of re-examination to all those candidates, who have not cleared all the papers in previous exam," reads the official notice. Such candidates will be required to appear in that subject paper only.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
Ensure to bring the following documents to the exam:

Prohibited items within the exam hall:

Candidates are not allowed to bring bare acts, books (including question-answer guides and notes), except for specific papers on the Constitution of India, Contract Law, Negotiable Instruments Act, and Company Law.

Mandatory submission of devices and prohibited materials:

All candidates must surrender smartphones, watches, and any internet-connected devices before the exam.

Prohibited materials such as bare acts, books, guidebooks, or unauthorised notes should also be submitted.
Consequences of violating exam rules:

If found with unauthorised materials, engaging in cheating, or communicating with other candidates during the exam, the invigilator may take action.

The candidate might be asked to surrender their paper, leading to possible disqualification from the exam.

Depending on the invigilator's decision, the candidate may be allowed to continue with a fresh answer sheet.
