The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) remains undecided about Bangladesh's upcoming tour of Pakistan, which is scheduled to begin in just over two weeks. The Tigers are slated to play five T20Is from Sunday, May 25 to Tuesday, June 3, with matches planned at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad and the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

However, ongoing cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan have raised concerns, and Bangladesh is still evaluating whether to proceed with the tour.

Meanwhile, Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain arrived in Dubai on Saturday after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) postponed the remaining eight matches of the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL). Regarding the T20I series, the BCB released a statement confirming that discussions are still in progress, emphasising that player safety remains the top priority.

"As part of its continued commitment to international engagement and preparation, the Bangladesh National Team will tour the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a two-match T20 International series against the host nation as scheduled. The series is set to commence next week," the BCB said in a statement.

"The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in active and ongoing discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the Bangladesh National Team's forthcoming tour of Pakistan.

"The BCB wishes to reiterate that the safety and security of its players and support staff remain the Board's highest priority. All decisions concerning the tour will be made with careful consideration of the current situation in Pakistan, ensuring they align with the best interests of the team and Bangladesh cricket," the BCB added.

Before heading to Pakistan, Bangladesh are set to face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in two T20Is on May 17 and 19 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
