on Thursday met labourers at
GTB Nagar
in the national capital and discussed their problems.
Sharing pictures of the meet, Congress on X wrote, "These hardworking laborers are the backbone of India's economy."
"It is our responsibility to make their lives simpler and secure their future", it added.
Congress in its 2024 Lok Sabha poll manifesto had promised to introduce reforms in the industrial and labour laws with an aim to "restore the balance between labour and capital".
It had also promised to increase the MNREGA wages to Rs 400 per day. Further, it had announced a national minimum wage of the same amount per day if it came to power.
