Average price of gas jumps to $3.28 a gallon in US, highest price in months: AAA

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Drivers will be seeing higher prices at the pump this week.

The average price of gas has gone up 11 cents in the past week to $3.28 a gallon nationally, according to AAA.

That's the highest price in nearly three months.

Experts said increases are normal this time of year as winter winds down and gas stations prepare for summer.

A weeklong slowdown at a large refinery in the Midwest is also behind the uptick.
