Armed robbers stole $30K, jewelry from East Elmhurst home: NYPD

EAST ELMHURST, N.Y. (PIX11) --- Three armed robbers ambushed a man outside his Queens home early Monday and followed him inside before stealing $30,000, police said.

The victim, 27, was getting out of his car when the suspects threatened him at gunpoint near the home at 108-09 Ditmars Blvd. in East Elmhurst at around 1:40 a.m., according to the NYPD. The trio then followed the man into the house and took $30,000 and jewelry before driving off in a four-door SUV, police said.

The victim was not injured and it was unclear if anyone was home at the time, authorities said.

There have been no arrests.
