NEW DELHI: The Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday hinted at a significant possibility of renaming the franchise ahead of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The team, led by Faf du Plessis, is scheduled to kick off the tournament on March 22 against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

In a video posted on RCB's social media platforms, Mr. Nags, the renowned and engaging host of the "RCB insider show," is depicted removing a tyre from a three-wheeler auto-rickshaw labeled with "Bangalore." The auto-rickshaw's tyres were inscribed with the words "Royal," "Challengers," and "Bangalore." Mr.
Nags specifically removed the tyre bearing the word "Bangalore."
