Applications open for summer youth employment program

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Applications are opening Monday for the city's summer youth employment program.

It provides summer jobs for 100,000 young people between the ages of 14 to 24.

The program allows young people to get work experience at over 18,000 worksites in various industries, including finance, health care, construction, real estate and entertainment.

Applications are open through March 1. You can complete the application online or at community-based organizations.
