Apple
is expected to announce new
iPads
,
Macs
, and
accessories
this month through press releases on its website rather than hosting a launch event. Now, different sources suggest that some of these products could be launched early this week.
Sources familiar with the development have told MacRumors that Apple could announce new products this week. The source corroborated Gurman's report that there will be no event to announce the products.
Instead, Apple will release them through press releases on its newsroom.
While there is no word on what products are to launch this week, Gurman suggests that
Apple Stores
are planning for a minor refresh for this week, which could be a new accessory rather than a new product launch. A larger refresh is being planned for the early next week, reports Gurman, which could point to a product launch.
No word on the Apple Event
Unlike previous hardware unveils, Gurman said Apple does not plan to hold a dedicated launch event for these new devices. Instead, the company will announce the products through website press releases, videos, and online marketing campaigns.
The specific announcement dates remain unclear, though they are expected at some point over the next few weeks leading into April, based on the reports.
New iPads incoming
Among the new devices slated for announcement are updated 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models featuring Apple's new M3 chip, OLED displays, and a thinner design, reports Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
Gurman also expects refreshed iPad Air models equipped with the M2 chip. This would include a 12.9-inch iPad Air for the first time.
Alongside the new iPads, Apple may announce redesigned Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil accessories for select iPad models.
New MacBook Air models expected
According to Gurman, in addition to new iPads, Apple is preparing to release updated 13-inch and 15-inch
MacBook Air
laptops powered by the M3 chip.
What else to expect
Apple could also announce the new colour for the
iPhone
15 models, as it did the last year, in time for the Spring refresh. There could also be new iPhone cases and
Apple Watch
bands.
