Actor Anushka Sharma was over the moon as India defeated Pakistan by six runs at the Nassau County Stadium in New York in the T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday, June 9. Videos of her celebrating in the stands with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma's wife, Ritika Sajdeh, have been shared widely on the internet. Meanwhile, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Varun Dhawan congratulated Team India on their victory.
In the video, Anushka looks overjoyed. She clenches her fists in excitement and celebrates with Ritika. With a radiant smile on her face, she applauds the Men in Blue, including her husband, Virat Kohli. The actor looked chic in her oversized blue striped shirt with a white T-shirt and denims.

After the match, Anushka posed for a happy picture with Yuzvendra Chahal's wife and dancer, Dhanashree Verma, Ritika Sajdeh, and others. Dhanashree shared the photo on Instagram and captioned it, "Hum Jeet gaye (We won)."
Earlier in the match, Anushka was visibly upset after Kohli's early dismissal. He was out for just 4 runs off 3 balls by Naseem Shah during India's first innings against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 Group A clash. India scored 119 runs in the first innings but managed to beat Pakistan with a terrific performance by bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
Besides Anushka, other celebrities from the Indian film industry also celebrated the win. Amitabh Bachchan shared on X that he had switched off the TV after he thought that India would lose to Pakistan. But he was elated to know the final result. "WE WON WE WON WE WON !!!
