Another sinkhole opens up on I-80 in Wharton

WHARTON, N.J. (PIX11) -- The New Jersey Department of Transportation has closed down part of I-80 after another sinkhole opened up in Wharton.

This sinkhole is approximately a 15-foot by 15-foot hole that opened in the median in the eastbound work zone.

Drivers should expect delays, as cars are being detoured at Exit 34B/Route 15 North as the NJDOT evaluates the situation.

This is the latest development, as New Jersey officials were already dealing with sinkholes on I-80, including a 40-foot by 40-foot hole in Wharton.
