MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Another person has been taken into custody in connection with the assault of two NYPD officers in Times Square last month, police said Tuesday.

Additional information about the person in custody wasn’t immediately available from police.

Body-camera footage released last week showed the chaotic lead-up to a brawl between a group of migrants and police in Times Square on Jan. 27.

Bronx subway shooting was gang-related, innocent bystander killed: police

In the video, officers can be seen approaching a group of men and ordering them to leave the area in front of a shelter. As one of the men is walking away, he says in Spanish, “They look like Ugly Betty.”

Moments later, he is shoved into a doorway by an officer and arrested, setting off a melee between migrants and police. Several bystanders descended on the scrum, kicking at the officers and trying to stop them from arresting the man, the video showed.

Seven people have been indicted in connection with the incident. Last week, police said they were searching for at least five others.
