"Origin." Jolie hosted an exclusive
gathering
at her home on Sunday, attended by about two dozen guests, including DuVernay and the film's star, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. The event saw passionate discussions about the film, with notable personalities like Debbie Allen, Frances Fisher, Victoria Mahoney, Angela Robinson, and Nancy Steiner in attendance.
Following the intimate gathering, a screening of "Origin" is scheduled in West Hollywood, with Jolie moderating an on-stage panel featuring DuVernay and Ellis-Taylor. Although the film officially releases on January 19, it remains eligible for this year's Oscars, distributed by NEON and based on Isabel Wilkerson's Pulitzer Prize-winning 2020 bestseller, "Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents."
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, fresh from Jolie's residence, attended the Critics' Choice Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for "Justified: City Primeval."
