Angel Reese Reacts to WNBA Announcement After Chicago Sky Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
On Sunday, Angel Reese put on a show for the Chicago Sky in a matchup against the Connecticut Sun.
Reese led the Sky to a 78-66 victory over the Sun. She finished the game with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.
The Sky forward helped Chicago snap a three-game losing streak, having previously been defeated by the Atlanta Dream, New York Liberty and Indiana Fever.
After Reese's first triple-double of her career, the WNBA announced the Chicago Sky star as the "Top Performer" on Sunday.
Reese became just the second player in the WNBA this season to record a triple-double. The first player who earned a triple-double was Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever when she posted 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Angel Reese continues to prove she's one of the best rebounders in the WNBA and has certainly shown signs of improvement on the offensive end.
In her second season with the Chicago Sky, Reese has posted 10.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. On the defensive end, she's also averaged 1.6 steals per game.
Last season with the Sky, when she was named a WNBA All-Star, Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, finishing the season as the only first-year player to average a double-double.
The Chicago Sky will now look to spark a win streak, led by Angel Reese. They're set to face the Washington Mystics on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
Chicago will finish the two-game home stretch on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET against the Phoenix Mercury.
