has appointed
Amar Kaul
as the next MD & CEO for a period of five years beginning July 25, 2024.
Kaul was selected “after an extensive search” said a company statement.
The company board had been “engaged for the last several months in finding a successor for the incumbent MD
N Srinivasan
,” it added.
N Srinivasan has led the company since the date of takeover by Tube Investments of India on November 26, 2020.
He scripted the turnaround of CG Power resulting in a 20-fold growth in share price as on July 5, 2024. Srinivasan's senior management team will provide continuity and support the smooth transition of leadership and he will also be available to support the transition, said the statement.
Amar Kaul joins the company on Monday initially as MD & CEO – designate and will take over as the MD & CEO effective July 25, 2024.
Vellayan Subbiah, as the chairman of CG Power, will continue to provide strategic guidance.
Amar Kaul has over 30 years of total work experience, including 12 years overseas. Starting his career as a quality consultant, he has worked across manufacturing, manufacture and application engineering, supplier and quality development and deployment of six sigma and lean manufacturing.
He was in the executive leadership position leading EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) region for compression systems & services in Ingersoll Rand and also served as the CMD of Ingersoll Rand, a listed company in India. Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions in Bharat Forge and Delphi.
He holds a B Tech (mechanical engineering) from GB Pant University and MS degree (engineering business management) from Warwick University in the UK.
