connectivity
to
Lakshdweeep
will get a boost from next week.
Alliance Air
will operate an
additional
Kochi-Agatti-Kochi flight on Wednesdays and Sundays from January 21 to March 27, 2024. Alliance is the only airline with
flights
to the
archipelago
with a daily on this route.
Following PM Modi's recent trip to Lakshadweep, there is heightened interest and
demand
for travel there. To meet the same, Alliance has as of now added two flights a week. The only fixed wing public sector airline, which is yet to be divested, operates a 70-seater turboprop ATR-72 to
Agatti
. Airline officials say they they are looking at having a double daily between Kochi and Agatti.
