SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. (PIX11) -- New York architect Rex Heuermann has now been charged in six murders connected to the Gilgo Beach serial killer case, but prosecutors say more charges are on the way.

Prosecutors say they've uncovered a serial killer blueprint.

The Long Island father is accused of torturing and killing at least six women, including Sandra Costilla and Jessica Taylor.

Costilla was found in the North Sea in Southampton in 1993. Taylor's torso was found in Manorville in 2003. Her other limbs found in 2011 not far from where the Gilgo Four were discovered in 2010.

The case is now widening to other parts of Suffolk County dating back more than 30 years. Prosecutors believe Heuermann may have been an active serial killer for much longer than previously suspected and changed his method of killing women.

In court, prosecutors said they can place Heuermann in the vicinity of both murders with his hair near their bodies.

A timeline of the investigation of the Gilgo Beach killings

Heuermann and his attorney maintain his innocence.

Forensic experts said they have discovered what appears to be a serial killer's blueprint on his computer, including disturbing images of abuse and pornography with lists of supplies for torture, dump sites, and targets.

The alleged blueprint also included how to prepare before abduction and things to remember for the next kill.

According to the Suffolk County district attorney, there are some details in the document that are identical to the methodology used on the victims in the case.

The Suffolk DA also said it is "safe to say" that Heuermann is a suspect in the killing of Valerie Mack, whose remains were found near Taylor's body.
