Akshay Oberoi

had a reunion with director Sidharth Anand in the recently released film 'Fighter'. The movie also featured Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and Karan Singh Grover in leading roles. In a recent interview, Akshay shared about how he felt while sharing the screen with Deepika after years and the advice he received from

Anil Kapoor

while shooting 'Fighter'.

While talking to News18, Akshay said that Siddharth had given him such a nice role in the film, and he is grateful to the director for remembering him. Fulfilling the promise, Siddharth was giving him a chance to show his talent. The duo previously worked for the OTT series 'Flesh'.
Sharing his experience with the star-studded cast of 'Fighter', Akshay remarked that he is the least known person in it. “Karan Singh Grover, Deepika, Anil Kapoor, and Hrithik, the whole world knows them.”

Akshay recollected the event when he developed a desire to work in Bollywood. The actor, who grew up in New Jersey, had a dream to become an actor when he was 12 years old. He started doing theater when he was 13 in a local town called Morristown. One day his father took him to watch 'Kaho Naa Pyar Hai' starring Hrithik Roshan and said that this actor would become a superstar in India. Akshay decided to move to India and wanted to become an Indian actor at that moment. He added, “There was no one like me in America, in India at least I could just relate to what I see on the screen”.

Akshay mentioned his reunion with Deepika after doing a tiny part in 'Piku' and with Anil Kapoor after doing a two-minute role in 'Thar'. He says, “They've seen me slowly climbing up. And now I have a big full-fledged role in this big-budget movie.”
Akshay thanked Anil Kapoor for his valuable advice that ‘you have to keep working till the end of time. No matter whatever character you do - ugly, bad, nice, very good - never take a break. When you walk away from the industry for a little span of time or you reject a project,

people

will forget you swiftly. Even if you are Anil Kapoor or

Amitabh Bachchan

’.
