NEW DELHI: In poll bound Maharashtra, several leaders and corporators from the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in

Pimpri Chinchwad

have joined Sharad Pawar-led

NCP-SCP faction

at his residence in Pune on Wednesday.
NCP’s Pimpri-Chinchwad unit chief, Ajit Gavhane, is among the leaders who joined the Sharad Pawar-led NCP-SCP in Pune. Additionally, three senior leaders from NCP's Pimpri-Chinchwad unit resigned from the party on Tuesday.
Commenting on the defections, NCP-SCP working president

Supriya Sule

said, "I think everyone has different experiences in the party.

We never let our ideology, and the ideology of development diminish. Pawar Sahab has been working continuously for the last 60 years in Maharashtra and at the Centre, for development. We believe in the ideology of Pawar Sahab, but others too look at him with great hopes and are therefore joining him."
