The Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde expressed its displeasure on Monday over receiving a Minister of State with Independent charge in the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, stating that the party expects a Cabinet role. This comes a day after the NCP Ajit Pawar faction also expressed its disagreement over the Minister of State offer.
Party Chief Whip Shrirang Barne said, "We were expecting a cabinet berth," citing the proportion of other NDA allies in the new Council of Ministers.
