In response to the impact of weather conditions such as heat waves and fog on schooling, Delhi Education Minister Atishi instructed officials on Saturday to develop a hybrid learning plan for schools.

They received instructions to create it by integrating the Delhi Model Virtual Schools (DMVS) programme with the conventional physical school model of the Delhi government, as stated in an official announcement.

The Delhi government's objective, as stated by the minister, is to implement the Delhi Model Virtual Schools (DMVS) programme to transform all schools into hybrid models, ensuring that students' education remains unaffected by adverse weather conditions.

"Schooling in Delhi gets frequently disturbed due to adverse weather like heat waves during summer and fog in winter. Through DMVS, we will make all Delhi government schools hybrid so that our children's education does not suffer from the vagaries of weather," says Atishi.

"For those children who cannot reach school, the Delhi government is giving the finest education to them through DMVS," she adds.

Commenced in 2022 under the AAP government, DMVS presently delivers virtual education for students in classes 9 to 12. Additionally, it offers test preparation assistance to students in Delhi government schools for exams such as NEET, JEE, and CUET.
