Aamir Khan

and

Kiran Rao

tied the knot in December 2005 in an intimate ceremony. The paparazzi culture and the buzz around

celebrity

weddings is at its peak now, but did you know that even that time, Aamir had challenged the media to try and get even one single picture from his wedding with Kiran. The actor had made sure to have a heavy security at his wedding and he also took very strict measures for the same.

Senior paparazzo

Varinder Chawla

has spilled some secrets about B-town celebs in an interview recently, and here's what he said about Aamir's wedding.
Chawla revealed during a chat with Hindi Rush that Aamir had made very strict arrangements so that the media or

paps

couldn't capture any glimpse of their wedding. The wedding nuptials were taking place in Wai or Lonavla and Chawla said they took it as a challenge, booked a car and reached the destination. However, he added, "He had heightened the walls of the resort by 12–15 feet so that paps couldn’t climb the wall.”
Chawla further reveals the kind of tactics he used to capture a wedding moment. He said, "I gave a Kodak camera whose worth was Rs. 1000 at that time with a roll filled in it to a staff member. I asked him to click a photo or get a photo clicked with them (Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao).” He further tried to lure a staff member offering Rs 5000 along with the camera as gift. But cameras were strictly prohibited inside the wedding venue.
Eventually, the paps could not get a single picture of the wedding as promised by Aamir. However, one of the day where Aamir, Kiran and their guests went out to play cricket, one of the friends climbed up and captured that picture. "One of our friends went up the height and clicked the photograph from 300 lenses, but the photo that we got was them of playing together. He (Aamir) had promised that I won’t let you guys click any wedding photograph and he didn’t let us have it," said Chawla. These pictures also saw

Sachin Tendulkar

who had come to attend the wedding. While they did get the cricket pictures, the wedding pictures were not captured by anyone.
Finally, they gave up and returned to Mumbai.
Aamir and Kiran parted ways in 2021 but continue to remain close as a family!
