9-year-old found dead in burning car in NJ: officials

SAYREVILLE, N.J. (PIX11) --- A man is accused of setting a car on fire after his 9-year-son was found dead in the burning vehicle in New Jersey Thursday night, authorities said.

The incident happened on Washington Road near Sayreville High School at around 10:45 p.m., prosecutors said.

Manuel Rivera, 43, was charged with aggravated arson pending an autopsy of the boy's death, officials said.
