HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) -- Police are searching for two suspects after they allegedly robbed a 79-year-old woman using a lottery scam.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. near West 138th Street and Broadway on May 2.
The victim was approached by the suspects, who presented her with an alleged lottery ticket and persuaded her that they would share the earnings, police say.
When the victim agreed, the suspects allegedly threatened to assault her and made her take them back to her residence, police say. They took jewelry and cash valued at around $27,500 and ran east on West 137th Street.
The NYPD released the following surveillance video of the two suspects walking with the victim.
One of the suspects is a man last seen wearing a black medical mask, a blue baseball hat, a white jacket, gray pants, and black sneakers, police say.
The second suspect is a woman last seen wearing a gray medical mask, a brown bucket hat, a brown jacket, blue jeans, and multicolored sneakers.
