7 people injured, 1 seriously, in fire at Queens building: FDNY

DOUGLASTON, Queens (PIX11) – At least seven people were injured in a fire overnight Friday in Queens, according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out at a private dwelling on 69th Avenue in Douglaston close to 1 a.m., according to fire officials. Officials said 60 firefighters responded to the scene.

One person is being treated for life-threatening injuries at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, according to fire officials.

Officials said the fire was put out around 1:30 a.m. An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
