WAYNE, N.J. (PIX11) -- A 7-month-old was found dead in Wayne, New Jersey, Wednesday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.
The infant was located at around 1:42 p.m.
Police were dispatched to an area near New Jersey Route 23 and Ratzer Road for a report of a dead infant, officials say. Responding officers located a possible crime scene and the infant, who was pronounced dead.
An investigation into the infant's death is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office at 1-877-370-PCPO or [email protected].
