THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a suspect and vehicle after a 5-year-old girl was hit in the Bronx.
Police say the girl was walking on East Gun Hill Road and crossing Paulding Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 30, when a blue Honda CRV hit her.
The vehicle was traveling east on Gunhill Road and was making a left turn onto Paulding Avenue, police say. The operator fled north on Paulding Avenue after hitting the victim.
The girl sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital by EMS.
Police say the vehicle is a blue 2012 Honda CRV with a New York State license plate reading HFZ 3545. The vehicle also had a silver metal grille guard at the time of the incident.
The NYPD released the following photo of the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
