Four members of the same family attempted suicide by consuming poison in Rajasthan's Nagaur district over a property dispute. Police on Sunday said two brothers had a dispute over their ancestral land, causing distress to the entire family of the younger one.

All four who consumed poison are currently receiving treatment at Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer after being referred from Merta Government Hospital. The Ajmer Police said the condition of all four individuals is stable and they are out of danger.

Assistant sub-inspector of police (ASI) in Ajmer, Vishnu Prasad, said they received information from the control room on Sunday that four members of the same family residing in Merta consumed poison.

As per the police, the four people who consumed poison were identified as Kailash, Urmila, Vishakha and Krishna. Kailash had a dispute with his elder brother over their ancestral land, causing distress to his entire family.
