3 men launch fireworks inside Long Island 7-Eleven: NCPD

ELMONT, Long Island (PIX11) – Police are searching for three men accused of launching a firework inside a 7-Eleven on Long Island on Wednesday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

It happened at a 7-Eleven on Elmont Road in Elmont around 11:30 p.m. A man walked into the convenience store, lit the firework and tossed it into the middle aisle, according to authorities.

The explosion destroyed store shelves and merchandise, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police describe the man as wearing dark clothing and a face mask. Two other men, who were also wearing dark clothing, were with the suspect, according to authorities.

The three men fled on foot going west on Hoffman Avenue.
