3 men accused of robbing, attacking 2 subway riders with brass knuckles in Queens: NYPD

JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a group of three people they said robbed and attacked two men on a northbound No. 7 train in Queens on Tuesday, according to authorities.

The victims, a 28 and 30-year-old, were on the train as it pulled into the 74th Street-Broadway Station in Jackson Heights around 4 a.m. Police said the group took the 28-year-old's cellphone. They showed a knife and threatened to shoot the victims.

A physical fight started, and one of the three began hitting the 28-year-old with brass knuckles several times in the face, according to police. The group got off the train at the 74th Street Station and left in an unknown direction.

The victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to officials.
