28 developments available on NYC's affordable housing lottery through April

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Apartments are available at 28 developments on the city’s affordable housing lottery system throughout March and April, ranging from anywhere between $405 and $3,069 per month for a studio apartment. 

The majority of the properties sit in Brooklyn, with 12 properties currently on the lottery. There were also four buildings in Manhattan, three in Queens, eight in the Bronx, and one in Staten Island, according to NYC Housing Connect.

Across New York City, the lotteries require prospective renters make between 30 and 130 percent of the area median income - meaning there are options for New Yorkers making as little as $19,646 per year. 

Some properties only included apartments for people making 130 percent of the area’s median income, including three properties in the Bronx.
