2024 Lexus RZ 300e electric SUV revealed: Gets a 72.8 kWh battery pack with 428 Km range

has revealed the

2024 Lexus RZ 300e

electric SUV globally. The new model features a

front-wheel-drive

setup with increased range and a decrease in the entry price. The 2024 Lexus RZ will now be available in two variants/ front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), with the former being a recent addition to the lineup. The price for the new RZ series starts from USD 55,150 (about Rs 45.8 lakh at current exchange rates).
Talking about the powertrain and battery, the new FWD variant is powered by a 72.8 kWh CATL lithium-ion battery pack paired with a single electric motor which puts out 198 hp of power. The EV has an EPA-estimated range of up to 428 kilometres with 18-inch wheels. When equipped with 20-inch wheels, the range decreases to 360 kilometres. Lexus claims that the FWD variant can sprint from 0-100 kph in 7.4 seconds.

Taking about the AWD variant, it gets a 71.4 kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors which puts out 304 hp of power. It has claimed range of up to 354 km in one full charge. Lexus claims that the

AWD variant

can sprint from 0-100 kph in 5 seconds. Both variants come with a 7 kW charger that can manage up to 150 kW of DC rapid charging and a Level 2 home charger. Lexus claims the home charger can charge the car from 0 per cent to 100 per cent in under 9.5 hours. Talking. About the DC fast charger, it can charge from 0 per cent to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes.

Moving inside, the EV gets tazuna-inspired elements and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a digital instrument cluster. The EV is offered in three interior colour options: Thunderstorm and Macadamia, Palomino, and Dapple Gray. Talking about the features, it gets multi-colour ambient lighting, a 10-inch head-up display unit, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, navigation, smartphone connectivity, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, five USB ports, cloud navigation, digital key and much more.

The EV also gets multiple advanced ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering assist with lane departure prevention, road sign recognition, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, emergency steering assist, parking assist and hands-free jam assist.
