2 teens shot near high school in Newark: officials

NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) – Two teenagers were shot near a high school in Newark Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The shooting happened near West Side High School at 405 South Orange Ave. around 2:45 p.m., according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé.

Man fatally pushed onto East Harlem subway tracks identified

A 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old were both shot, Fragé said. The 17-year-old, who is a student at West Side High School, was hospitalized in critical condition, according to authorities.

Additional information about the shooting wasn’t immediately available.
