2 people shot in Tompkins Square Park: NYPD

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) – Two people were shot in Tompkins Square Park on Saturday, according to the NYPD.

It happened around 12:47 p.m. Officers found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound on his backside and a 63-year-old woman with a gunshot wound on her hip, according to authorities.

They were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

No arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing.
