WEST VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A fight between two people at a Manhattan subway station led to both falling onto train tracks Saturday, according to the NYPD.

The brawl happened at the West Fourth Street–Washington Square station in the West Village around 4:30 p.m., police said. A bystander helped one of the people who fell onto the tracks get back onto the platform, according to authorities.

The first person, who was saved from the tracks, then helped the second person who fell, police said. The second person then punched the first person, causing them to fall onto the tracks once again, according to authorities.
