2 men steal money, lottery tickets from UES newsstand: NYPD

UPP EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- A newsstand on the Upper East Side had money and lottery tickets stolen on Tuesday, according to police.

Two men walked up to the newsstand on East 79th Street and First Avenue and pushed the employee, according to the NYPD. The men allegedly stole money and lottery tickets around 2:30 p.m. before escaping.

The employee was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries, according to officials. The investigation is ongoing.
