2 killed, 3 injured after car crash under Bronx train station: NYPD

tHE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Two people were killed and three were injured after a car crash under a Bronx train station Saturday morning, authorities said.

The incident occurred at 4:13 a.m., at the intersection of Jerome Avenue and East Fordham Road underneath the No. 4 train station, authorities report.

A BMW and Nissan Rogue collided, and the BMW crashed into a support beam for the elevated subway platform overhead, authorities said.

The 23-year-old driver and another passenger in the BMW were rushed to a hospital but could not be saved. Three people in the Nissan car were taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
