NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Two children in New Jersey have died from the flu so far this winter, according to health officials.

Flu activity is high around the state, according to a report from the New Jersey Department of Health.

There have been over 50,000 flu cases reported in New Jersey this 2023-24 flu season, data showed.

There have been 69 severe cases of flu in pediatric patients, according to health officials.

It was not immediately clear when the deaths occurred.
