$100K stolen from Bronx bodega, $10k reward offered for tips: bodega organization

MORRIS HEIGHTS, The Bronx (PIX11) – The United Bodegas of America is offering a $10,000 reward for information related to the robbery of a Bronx bodega, the organization said.

The owner of Los Castillos Mini Market, identified by the union as Carlos Castillo, closed his store around 11 p.m. on Feb. 4, according to authorities. Police said when Castillo returned the next day around 5 a.m., he noticed surveillance cameras and the rear door of the bodega were damaged.

The organization said two suspects on scooters stole $100,000 from the bodega.

Police said they're searching for one suspect, who was able to break into a private office to steal the cash from the register.
